Licensing, maintenance, and access questions
How does IDEA StatiCa licensing work?+
Licenses are online and account-based. A cloud license server is created for each customer, and you only need your email credentials to access the license from any device. Standard licenses allow up to 7 users per license product; enterprise licenses are unlimited.
Is there a single or network configuration?+
No. All licenses consist of floating seats. You can switch devices, return the license to the pool, share it with colleagues, and work from the office, home, or on the road.
What is the difference between a subscription and a perpetual license?+
The perpetual license is a time-unlimited entitlement, but maintenance must be purchased on top of it and renewed annually to receive new versions and technical support. The subscription license is time-limited and automatically includes maintenance. Subscriptions can be extended and expanded with more seats as your needs grow.
How does maintenance work?+
Maintenance gives you two main benefits: technical issues solved by in-house specialists, and access to the current version of IDEA StatiCa, with two major product releases plus minor updates per year. Maintenance is automatically included in all subscription licenses but must be purchased separately for perpetual licenses. If you have an older license without maintenance, you need to purchase an upgrade to the current version before buying maintenance for the next period.
Is the license country-limited?+
Yes. Standard licenses can only be used in the country specified at purchase, usually tied to the billing address. Multinational usage is only available with the Enterprise license.
